OPENING

Tell us a bit about yourself, your name, age, where you’re from, and anything else?
Well, I go by the name RePeat. I’m from Memphis,TN.

MUSIC

Up until recently you were called deletedbeatz, but changed to RePeat, why the change? what does it mean to you?
Yea,I changed it because I go by RePeat originally. I used deletedbeatz for Crazypellas. RePeat means a lot to me. I named myself RePeat because my beats sound so good that you have to press RePeat.

What genre(s) of music do you produce? What’s your favorite?
I really do not have a genre I produce. I try to make beats where you can sing or rap to it. My favorite is Rnb.

How long have you been producing? What first got you interested?
I have been producing for three years now. I got interested when I saw my brother using FLstudio. He would not tell me how to use it, so I taught myself.

What’s your inspiration?
Man, Seeing and hearing other producers make good music. That inspires me.

Do you Sample, Compose or Both? What do you prefer?
I sample and compose. I prefer composing. But at first I was into sampling a lot. I remember when I could not make an original beat…lol.

Do you use software or Hardware to produce? Which Software/Hardware? Which do you prefer?
I use software. I use a lot of plug-ins. I prefer software.

When did you decide you wanted to take your music seriously?
I played cello for nine years in school. So When I graduated from high school in 2007,I decided to take music seriously. I feel that’s the only thing that I would love doing for a living. I love music. Music is my life.

What are you trying to do with your music? Do you want to help your community? Are you trying to get rich? What is your goal for your music?
I am trying to reach the masses with my beats. I want artist that are big in Europe or Japan and other countries to want my beats. Yes, I want to help my community. I want to bring different business to my community. The part of Memphis I live in really needs that. The kids do not have a lot to do for fun where I live.

Do you have any kind of management, publishing or distribution teamwork behind you? If so what are their responsibilities?
I am my own management right now…lol

What are some accomplishments that you have achieved, and are most proud of?
Wining producer of the month on crazypellas. I never won anything for my music. This is just the beginning for me though.

Have you ever made any contact with big time people in the industry and do you keep in contact with them?
No I have not. I am sending beats to different artist, but I have not got a reply yet. So we’ll see.
